Confidential to Trixie: I love Aimee Mann too. My friend just informed me that she has a new single out from an upcoming album, and get this: the album is called QUEENS OF THE SUMMER HOTEL. Isn't that a hoot? Now I'm picturing Aimee Mann playing a show on an episode of TRIXIE MOTEL featuring a bunch of queens.
thank you for the advice katya i am typing this on my phone as i am waiting for my eyes to grow tired and fall asleep Hopefully my sleeping cycle will go back to normal after following your tips! good night! 😴💤
ps trixie thank you for the music recommendation I will listen to Mental Illness and maybe it will also help me (cry myself to) sleep luv u both xoxo
I LOVE binaural beats. I listen to them every time I want/need to relax my super anxious brain or whenever I need to focus on something or simply read (adhd brain). I also listen to them for sleeping, but I haven’t figured out the best way of listening (I sometimes fall asleep with headphones. Not comfortable at all). Also, Spotify have some playlists of binaural beats for specific needs (specific frequencies). For those who have the Premium, it’s great because you don’t get distracted by the ads.
Re: Aimee Mann. I'd love to (bc she seems cool on anything I've seen her on) but must decline. I got wrecked by Tori Amos in the late 90's and am in a committed relationship with peppy music ever since. The lowest I'll go is The Cure and The Smiths (RIP); both of which are peppy music in sadsies clothing.
Re: Binaural Beats, do you just turn on YT, flip over the phone & block the screen? I wish you could listen w/ the screen locked w/o it turning off. I guess that technology is here though or you wouldn't be recommending it. Hmmm. One thing that always knocks me out is a combo of rain and campfire sounds on an app called "Sleep Pillow".
I put that happiness frequency video on after work and it took me right out of my negative 'I hate work' space and into a place of calm. Now I'm contentedly listening to Aimee Mann. Thanks for the recommendations.
My therapist just told me the same thing as Katya. For some reason I'm more inclined to do it now that I read this than after therapy 😂
No phones in bed is one of the best sleep hygiene practices you can have! It's tough but worth it really ❤️🖤

Trixie ❤️s Aimee! Truly two of my favorites colliding.

YES to binaural beats, I am also guilty of relying on ASMR to fall asleep.
