Hello friends, and happy new year. I’m sure the coming year will bring us all many mirthful moments of joy and ecstasy. Or perhaps we will all die. Who knows? I guess that’s what’s exciting about the new year. We don’t know what the future will bring. We do know, however, what the past has brought, and in that spirit I’d like to share with you an excerpt from a children’s book that I started to write over twenty years ago, while I was a junior in high school. This section I believe was based off a substitute teacher, a foul woman whom everyone hated. Eventually though, I grew to love her, and we bonded, oddly enough, when she shared with me her passion for handheld transceivers, commonly known as “walkie talkies.”
